Final Cleaning

Post-construction final cleaning that turns a jobsite into a finished, move-in ready space. We tackle dust, debris, adhesive residue, paint over-spray, streaky windows, sticky fixtures, and every surface between. Contractors, builders, property managers, and homeowners across Santa Cruz County trust JR for the last mile.

The work, scoped to your property.

A remodel can be finished without being ready to live in. Fine dust settles on cabinet tops, inside drawers, along baseboards, and in window tracks long after the big debris is gone. Tell JR which rooms were worked on, which surfaces are new, and when the other trades expect to finish. That helps separate the final handoff clean from work that still needs another visit.

The useful starting point is your handoff list: kitchen and bathroom details, floors, fixtures, appliance interiors, and glass. Point out adhesive residue or paint spots rather than trying to scrape them off a new finish yourself. Different materials need different treatment, and the goal is a clean space without trading construction dust for scratches.

For a Santa Cruz homeowner, that might mean getting a remodeled kitchen back into everyday use. For a contractor or rental manager, it might mean making the space ready for a walkthrough or move-in. Share the deadline and access details with the quote request. If debris haul-off is also needed, include photos of the pile so it can be discussed as part of the scope.

Who it's for

Contractors, builders, remodelers, property managers, and homeowners preparing a fresh space.

Start with the list that matters to you. Tell us which items are urgent, which can wait, and the result you need before the space is ready to use. If there are other people working at the property, share their schedule so the requested visit can be planned around them. You can discuss the details in English or Spanish — hablamos español.

Get the quote conversation started

Quotes are free and no-obligation. Include the town, property type, photos, access details, and preferred timing when you contact JR. We will discuss the requested work and what belongs in the scope rather than assuming every property needs the same list. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with a 24/7 emergency line for urgent requests.

Before the visit, make a note of anything you do not want moved or worked on, and any parts of the property that are off limits. If you are arranging work for someone else, identify who can answer questions about the scope and provide access. A clear list also helps keep optional extras separate from the work you originally requested. If the condition changes or another task comes up, bring it into the conversation rather than assuming it is included. The aim is simple: everyone understands which work is being requested before it begins.

Common questions

Do you do post-construction final cleaning?

Yes — final cleaning is one of our specialties. We take a finished build or remodel from drywall dust, adhesive residue, and paint over-spray to genuinely move-in ready, top to bottom.

What's included in a final clean?

Dust removal from every surface including ledges and fixtures, full wipe-downs, floors vacuumed and mopped, detailed kitchen and bathroom cleaning, appliance and cabinet interiors, and windows including tracks, sills, and frames. Debris haul-off is available on request.

How far in advance should I book a final clean?

A week is comfortable for a house; two to three weeks for anything commercial or above about 10,000 square feet. If your handoff date moves, tell us early and we'll shift with you.

Do you handle vacation rental and tenant turnovers?

Yes. We build turnover cleans around your changeover window, including same-day checkout-to-checkin, and we flag anything broken or missing before your next guest or tenant finds it.

Can you clean windows on a second story?

Yes. We bring the ladders and pole systems for standard two-story residential glass, inside and out, including screens, tracks, and frames.

Why do my windows spot again so fast near the beach?

Salt spray and marine layer deposit minerals that ordinary tap water leaves behind when it dries. On coastal properties we finish with purified water so the glass dries clear, and we recommend a shorter recurring interval than an inland home would need.
